BLAH, because this is how my entire new year has been going.........

Bringing the snow in

Today was the first real snow we have gotten this winter and as soon as Little Man saw it outside all I heard all morning long was "please mommy, can we please go play in the snow?".  I wanted to let him but the problem was Smunchkin was sick and running a fever and Tub Tub is too little to go out in the cold for an extended period of time. 

I jumped on FB and was presented with the answer by my friend Amy, she had brought the snow inside to her girls. GENIUS!  I decided to do the same.

I filled the red tub and the drum up with snow and gave the kids several mixing spoons, plastic measuring cups and various bowls to shovel the snow in and let them go at it.  Once they were done I mopped up the floor with a towel and it was nice and clean.  A win win for everyone.

lil Monkey was obsessed with trying to eat the snow, I would expect nothing less of her lol.  I couldn't choose just one so there are several.

Brotherly Love

Smunchkin has been sicky all day, she has been sleeping a lot and when she is awake she just lays around, poor baby.  I went in the bedroom to check on her and couldn't find her at first, her bed was so piled with stuff.  Then I saw her tiny face peeking out.  She told me Little Man was taking care of her.  Little Man gave her all of this most favorite things (and some of her favs too) to snuggle with to help her feel better.  I thought it was so cute, it made my heart melt.  He didn't even tell us he had done it either, he just tucked her in bed and gave her all the stuff to make her feel better.

Rockin With Daddy

Daddy  played some Guitar Hero earlier today and the kids enjoyed pretending to play with him.

Goodbye-The Final Playdate

Today's post will have several pictures in it as we had a very bitter sweet playdate today with our very first mommy/baby friends ever.

Little Man and I met Dylan and his mommy in a mommy group when Little Man was 6 months and Dylan 2 months.  They were our first mommy/baby friends and we love them dearly.  They are moving away to Salt Lake City, UT (I'm JEALOUS! lol) and so today was our "goodbye" playdate.  The kids had lots of fun together and even formed their own rock band putting on a concert for the mommies.

Asleep at the dinner table

lil Monkey, notorious for falling asleep at meal times, once again fell asleep while eating her dinner.  Poor baby lol.

Bananas, Avacados and Big Brother

Today's pictures are of Tub Tub eating her lunch.  Overly ripe and mushy bananas and avocados cut into pieces.  She turns her nose up at all baby food, even if I make it myself.  The mushy texture actually causes her to go.  She is in such a rush to be a big girl and catch up to her older siblings so these are the type of foods she normally eats.  She also refuses to let me feed her, preferring to do it all on her own.  She will cry, close her mouth tightly and turn her head away if I pick up a piece and try to put it in her mouth.

The last is of big brother too who asked to be in the picture.  I realized so far all of the pics have been of Tubs and considering I have 4 kids that's no good.  I will focus on making sure there are more photos of everyone from now on.
